This week, the Elbows Up for Climate Campaign partnered with 16 other organizations to underscore the need for a national East–West–North (E-N-W) clean electric grid during more than 35 meetings with MPs and Senators on the Hill. These discussions were complemented by a national press conference further elevating this critical issue in the public eye. We extend our thanks to the David Suzuki Foundation for their essential leadership in coordinating this effort.

The push for a national E-N-W electric grid represents a significant step toward a resilient, low-carbon energy future for Canada. By connecting renewable resources across provinces and territories, a national electric grid would  ensure a reliable, affordable and sustainable energy system for generations to come.
